Players can start to spot patterns that might indicate their opponents' tactics by watching how opponents play their hands, sattaking chartsuch as which cards they routinely draw or discard. For instance, an opponent may not be pursuing a suit for melds if they routinely discard cards from that suit. Players can take advantage of these patterns by modifying their own gameplay once they have recognized them. A player may decide to discard cards that would help them or hold onto cards that could undermine their plans if their opponent seems to be building towards a particular meld.
